Panel 1 — Human involvement

Relay Roof, June 21, 2230, afternoon equipment check before the first Whole Take hour. Two carriers have set a heavy amplifier on the rooftop landing. Bronx and Tamsin speak entirely off frame.

BRONX: Whole Take. Every human contribution named.

TAMSIN: Who carried the amplifier?

Panel 2 — Outside the recording

The amplifier stands beside tired boots. The long staircase descends behind the railing. Kes, one of the two carriers, answers.

BRONX: That's not on the recording.

KES: Neither is the staircase.

Panel 3 — Order of appearance

A fresh program sheet rests on the studio table beside a pencil and the amplifier's carrying sling. Tamsin dictates the addition.

TAMSIN: Carriers go on every Whole Take listing.

BRONX: Before the song?

TAMSIN: That's when they worked.

Panel 4 — The encore

After the brief check, the unplugged amplifier is ready to go back downstairs. Its lead is safely coiled. Kes gestures toward a free handle, inviting Bronx to help; he has not yet taken it.

BRONX: Amplifier carried by Una and Kes.

KES: Lovely. The encore goes downstairs.
